Hochschulzugangsberechtigung
It is a qualification that allows applicants to apply for a study place at a university. In what follows we will use the term 'admission'.
There are two types of admission: general (allgemeine Hochschulreife) and restricted (fachgebunden/fachorientiert).
Applicants who graduated from schools in Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan and other CIS countries can gain general access with a bachelor's degree. After completing undergraduate programs at an accredited university in their home country or in any other country, students have access to all majors.
Limited access is obtained through one year of university study in the same or a related field or through the FSP exam (Feststellungsprüfung).
