The first step towards a master's program in Germany is to clearly define your academic and career goals. Based on these goals, thoroughly research the market and select the programs you are interested in. The key factors here may include the program of study, the rating and location of the university, practical or theoretical orientation. At this stage, we do not recommend limiting yourself to a small number of programs.

Explore all requirements for areas of interest directly on the university website. We recommend doing this at least a year in advance. During this time, you will have a chance to improve on some of the criteria:
- sufficient language skills confirmed by certificates;
- compulsory practice;
- availability of certificates (TestAS, GMAT, etc.)
- a sufficient number of points on the ECTS in key subjects.

When you are sure that you fully meet the profile of the applicant, it is worth proceeding to the preparation of the package of documents:
- translations of all education documents by a sworn translator;
- certified copies of the documents. If you have several sets of translated education documents, you do not need to have the translations certified;
- biography in the form of a table without omissions;
- motivation letter. A motivation letter should follow formal requirements but be characterized by creativity.

The website of each of the selected universities has information about the application procedure. There are several basic procedures:
- filing directly;
- filing through uni-assist;
- request VPD and then apply directly to the university.

Once all documents have been sent, the invitation (Zulassung) remains to be awaited.
Please note that some universities also hold interviews (Auswahlgespräch), this information can always be found on the university's website.

Once you have the coveted Zulassung on your hands, it's time to get busy student visa и health insurance
