The myth that hinders students from making the right decisions

Among parents and students, the firm belief persists that graduating from Munich's Studienkolleg will give one an advantage when applying to TUM.

That is not true.

There are no bonuses for Studienkolleg graduates. If you finish school with a grade of ~2.0 and Studienkolleg with ~3.5, you won't get into TUM (these are approximate figures, as the weighted average is what matters). If you meet someone who claims otherwise, tell them we're waiting for them to debate. And if you're the one spreading this information, you're welcome too 🤗

We are not discouraging students from Munich. But we are for every student to understand the real processes and make decisions in their own interests, rather than based on myths.
