Naturalization in Germany

💥 On June 27, a law went into effect that allows you to get a German passport in three years!

Major changes:

1️⃣Получить passport will now be available in 5 years.
This period can be shortened to three years if you have a certificate proving your knowledge of German at the C1 level, И special successes in integration (this may include excellence in studies and work, as well as volunteering).

2️⃣It is no longer necessary to renounce your existing citizenship.

❕Student years are fully included in the period of stay. At the time of application, you must have a residence permit or residence permit under any of the paragraphs of the Residence Act, with the exception of 16a, 16b, 16d, 16e, 16f, 17, 18f, 19, 19b, 19e, 20, 22, 23a, 24, 25 Absatz 3 bis 5 and 104c.

Math placement test

The entrance exam in mathematics is an integral part of admission to the M, T and W courses of the Stüdienkolleges. In most cases, the exam is considered to be passed when the threshold is passed and the result does not affect your ranking.

👉Example: Munich
M and W courses: minimum 40%
T course: minimum 40% in the exam, minimum 30% in the test section

But there are also Stüdienkolleges where just passing the test is not enough.

👉Example: Hanover
Hannover does not test German on the entrance exam, and your ranking is only built from math (T, W) or biology, chemistry and math (M).

👉Example: Karlsruhe
Karlsruhe gives the most difficult entrance exam in math, and you can get in by showing a B1 on the German entrance exam and a good math score.

Testimonial

Maria (Maria's Instagram) about moving to language courses and enrollment in studienkolleg:

I have been working with UniApply Germany for over a year now. During this time we have come a long way together, and although it is not finished yet, I would like to leave my feedback here. At the very beginning, when I didn't even know German, UniApply and Lydia helped me to find a language school, prepare my documents and apply for an applicant visa. Even at this stage, Lydia's team was always on call and helped us with any unforeseen circumstances (e.g. strange Visametrics staff or the urgent closure of Sperrkonto). In the summer I got my visa, and after the language courses, UniApply helped me to apply to all the desired Stüdienkolleges and get invitations everywhere (even though in the process I decided to change my major and we had to change some of the invitations).

During this whole time (>1 year), Lydia and her team were always in touch with me. They helped me with registration, applying for residence permit, finding accommodation, enrollment and much more. I am a very anxious client, but Lydia and her team always gave me back the strength to move on and allayed my fears.

Now I live and study in Germany. For me it seemed impossible, but UniApply helped me to realize that it is real and, taking a huge part of the work on themselves, helped me to concentrate on my studies and pass my exams successfully. I thank Lydia's team very much and recommend all their services (and there are so many of them for different areas and requests). Thank you!

uni-assist: main

About 160 German universities cooperate with uni-assist. This means that most international students have to apply to university using the services of uni-assist.

  • The fee is 75€ for the first application and 30€ for each subsequent application in the same semester, regardless of whether you apply all at once or separately.
  • Processing times range from one day to eight-plus weeks, depending on the campaign period and your country.
  • The uni-assist application deadline coincides with the university deadline. The university's recommendation to submit applications 6-8 weeks in advance is necessary so that students have time to correct their applications or upload documents before the deadline.
  • uni-assist does not send VPDs to the university, only direct applications.
  • After the application is paid and before it is checked, you can upload and delete documents.
  • If your application has been verified but you need to replace the document, simply upload a new one.
