💊 Insurance is going up.

As of January 1, 2025, the cost of health insurance in Germany has increased. This is due to an increase in the Zusatzbeitrag - the additional premium paid by the insured. The increase for students with public insurance means an increase in costs of 5-10 euros per month.

For students studying in Germany, health insurance is mandatory:
💊Public health insurance: For undergraduate and graduate students under 30 years of age.
💊Private health insurance: For language students, Stüdienkolleg, PhD candidates, postdocs and those who refuse public insurance.

Misinformation

Some time ago on the website of one of the universities in the section of the Stüdienkolleg we saw information that if you come on a visa for a language course, you cannot get a residence permit in Germany. "How so" - we thought and in a matter of minutes wrote an e-mail. There was still no reply😐 Expecting nothing from the situation, going to the website today, we were pleasantly surprised!

Dozens of students move with us for language courses and extend their domestic residence permit, so we have no doubts that this is possible.

The university removed these lines from the website🎉 unfortunately we don't have a screenshot of the page then, only the copied text we sent to the university.

By the way, when you choose our partner schools, you get help in applying for a national visa absolutely free!

Testimonial

I have been collaborating with UniApply Germany for over a year now. During this time we have come a long way together, and although it is not finished yet, I would like to leave my feedback here. At the very beginning, when I didn't even know German, UniApply and Lydia helped me to find a language school, prepare my documents and apply for an applicant visa. Even at this stage, Lydia's team was always in touch and helped us with any unforeseen circumstances (e.g. strange Visametrics staff or the urgent closure of Sperrkonto). In the summer I got my visa, and after the language courses, UniApply helped me to apply to all the desired Stüdienkolleges and get invitations everywhere (even though in the process I decided to change my major and we had to change some of the invitations).

During this whole time (>1 year), Lydia and her team were always in touch with me. They helped me with registration, applying for residence permit, finding accommodation, enrollment and much more. I am a very anxious client, but Lydia and her team always gave me back the strength to move on and allayed my fears.

Now I live and study in Germany. For me it seemed impossible, but UniApply helped me to realize that it is real and, taking a huge part of the work on themselves, helped me to concentrate on my studies and pass my exams successfully. I thank Lydia's team very much and recommend all their services (and there are so many of them for different areas and requests). Thank you!
